SUMMERTIME...

...when the air is thick and sticky. And the trees and grasses are maximum lush and in their fullest expression of themselves! Calling us out to rest our eyes on their greeness and be soothed. When we are inside we want to be eating fresh sliced nectarines and blueberries from the farmers market with bee pollen all over it and talking with our dearest friend about our heartaches. Summertime. It's not my favorite season but I appreciate so much about it AND I was born in the last week of July! I was a very smiley baby and I've often been told by my mother that I spent most of my time beaming to all who would have it! I'm a lioness who loves to laugh and get my skin darkened by the incredible sun. Sunshine makes us happy- it's well known fact, and we get a lot of it in NYC.  Some of it feels incredibly perfect and sometimes it's waaaaaaay too much unless balanced by lots of breeze! Maybe you like it. Maybe this hot bright sticky wake up early and go to bed late because there is more daylight kind of weather is your jam! Well, suck it all in and get as much reserved inside you as you can...because as we know fall is coming and we will need a sweater soon. Because we are so full on in Summertime we need to take time to remember to rest and replenish so our bodies can hold onto all the sunlight and warmth we have been drenched in!
